Q; What are the studio opening hours?

A; The studio can be open pretty much whenever you like really! Jon is never usually that far away so a call to his mobile on 07730310087 is a good idea. He can then arrange a mutual time to meet you at the studio. Or call the studio on 01539 721739 first as he may just happen to be there anyway! Many people seem to call in as they're passing which can be disappointing for all parties if there's nobody home, so please, a quick call first if you can.
** Please note we will be closed for holidays commencing 13th September for two weeks. Last orders for framed prints before we go will be Monday 8th September to allow for framing and packing etc. Back to normal Monday 29th September. Any orders placed during this period will be dealt with promptly on our return. Scotland here we come! Thanks. **

Q; Are the dimensions given in the panoramic framed gallerires the overall finished size including frame?

A; Quite simply, yes! Finished size including frame.

Q; HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO PROCESS?

A; Depends on your order type. Print only options and calendars are normally despatched within two working days. Framed orders take approximately 1 week to produce, and stretched canvas prints up to 10 days to allow for varnish drying prior to stretching. ** Please note we will be closed for holidays commencing 13th September for two weeks. Last orders for framed prints before we go will be Monday 8th September to allow for framing and packing etc. Back to normal Monday 29th September. Q; HOW WILL MY ORDER BE DESPATCHED?

A; Print only options are delivered rolled, wrapped in acid free tissue, and sent out first class recorded in secure postal tubes. Despatch time for prints is normally within two to three working days and they will require a signature upon receipt.
Calendars are despatched second class signed for and are normally sent same day.
Framed prints are despatched via APC couriers on an overnight service, and very good it is too. Framed items are despatched on security, which means they are placed with other fragile items, and the record is excellent.
Your consignment will need signing for, so please be aware of this when ordering. A work address for delivery is always a good alternative wherever possible. FRAMED PRINT PRICES NOW INCLUDE COURIER DELIVERY to all UK mainland addresses. If you wish to collect please call 01539 721739 for self collection prices.

Q; I LIVE OVERSEAS, CAN I HAVE GOODS SHIPPED?

A; Yes and no! You are welcome to order prints which can be rolled and sent in secure postal tubes, but sadly we cannot courier framed prints overseas.
Please contact us for carriage costs before requesting delivery overseas.

Q; I WISH TO RETURN AN ITEM. HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS?

A; If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase we will accept returns for a full refund or exchange, but all returns must be in perfect condition, with all original packaging if possible. Please email or call first to book in a return. To be valid for exchange or refund, returns must be notified within 20 days of receipt.

HOW DO I BUY ONLINE?:

Buying your print is easily achieved by following these steps:


1/. Click on "Gallery/Shop" section above, and choose a gallery to view.
2/. "left click" the relevant thumbnail to take you to the gallery of your choice.
3/. "left click" on your chosen thumbnail image to gain a larger view.
4/. Scroll the options from the drop down menu below to choose your print and/or frame size.
5/. Click "add to cart".
6/. Proceed to checkout, or continue shopping!

Any carriage charges due will be evident at checkout.

ABOUT OUR PRINTS:

All our prints are produced in house using Epson 9800 and Hewlett-Packard Z3100 large format printers, offering astonishing depth and resolution courtesy of the HP vivera pigment inks. This is especially evident on work reproduced on our 450 g/m² Chromata White digital fine art papers. In conjunction with such fine art papers, these inks are capable of remaining fade resistant for up to 150+ years, although not if placed in direct sunlight or under harsh lighting conditions. Loose prints come to you wrapped in acid free tissue, delivered rolled in secure poster tubes. Please note that all panoramic print sizes quoted include a border, so actual print size will be less. ABOUT OUR PRINT MEDIA:
Black and white fine art prints are currently reproduced on HP Matte Litho-realistic Paper 270 g/m2. Crisp, sharp and with superb contrast. Our large size regular prints and panoramics are reproduced on 245 g/m² premium satin digital photo proofing paper and offer superb, clear colour rendition. Smaller prints and all prints supplied in frames are reproduced on 195 g/m² universal satin photo paper. This also offers excellent colour quality and longevity, but is more suited for use with the heat press process employed by our framer. This method creates a permanent bond between the print and its backing and thus stays flat behind the glass. Scroll down the page for more details on print options and pricing.

TECHNICAL STUFF:

At Lake District Landscapes studio we make every possible effort to reproduce printed material as colour accurate as possible. We can achieve this by using only the very best high resolution displays from Eizo, calibrated via Gretag Macbeth tools, finally arriving at the print stage via our Epson 9800 and HP Z3100 large format printers using specific profiles for each paper used. Technical stuff, but it works for us. Hope we haven't given away too many secrets there! We cannot, however, be responsible for how this all looks on your screen. If you are unhappy with your print, you are welcome to return it for a full refund, but please let us know why first as we may need to address a technical issue.
